Valentine’s Day Wine & Food Celebration at Lakeland Winery

We are teaming up with Daniella’s Steakhouse for an evening of great food and great wine on Friday, February 13th at 6pm. Come celebrate with a friend or the one you love. The cost is $75 per couple and includes crab stuffed artichoke hearts, tomato mozzarella salad, stuffed chicken breast, marinated filet medallions, mushroom risotto and tiramisu. We will pair one of our exclusive wines with each of the six dishes. Seating is limited and prepayment is required for a reservation.

How to Make Your Own Wine Label

Part of the fun of making your own wine is getting to personalize the wine bottles. But if you’re anything like me and your talent lies more in drinking wine than graphic design, Wine Folly has some great tips on making your own wine labels.

Wine Folly suggests mimicking commercial brand labels. Don’t copy them, but use them as inspiration. Think about the classic designs or the newer, cheeky wine labels. You might go for something old fashioned or modern. Don’t forget the basic information all wine labels should have:  the name and date of the wine, the “brand,” the actual variety or blend of the wine, and credit to the actual winery, wine and vintage.

Make Your Own Rhubarb Wine

Blueberries, pomegranates, black cherries and grapes aren’t the only wine varieties. Sometimes a vegetable will work too. Rhubarb might not be the first thing you’d think of for wine, but this sweet plant is perfect for it. And Here We are has a delicious-sounding, easy-to-follow recipe right here: Rhubarb Wine

July’s Wine of the Month: Blueberry Pinot Noir

July’s Wine of the Month: Blueberry Pinot Noir

pinotblueberryPinot, our mascot, has a particularly fine taste in wine, and selected the July featured wine, Blueberry Pinot Noir.

This is our sweet version of the blueberry wine, and the tangy, sweet burst of fruit combines with the light-medium body and cherry spice of Pinot Noir. It harmonizes well with Brie cheese.

Buy one bottle, get the second bottle half off for the entire month of July.

May’s Wine of the Month: Fresh Blueberry

fresh blueIt finally feels like Spring and what better way to celebrate than with sweet, fresh blueberries?

The May Wine of the Month is our Fresh Blueberry wine, made with blueberries picked locally in CNY. It’s an off dry, semi-sweet wine absolutely perfect for brunches instead of the usual mimosa, or as an after dinner sweet to cleanse the palette.

This wine is delicious mixed with lemonade too.

All this month, buy one, get one half-off.
